Anna is a Polish caregiver for an elderly lady. When she enrolled she spoke little English. Thanks to her literacy tutor, she now understands, speaks and reads English at an advanced level. This is important because her “lady” has gone into hospice and Anna must discuss health issues with outside care providers.

Arnulfo and his literacy tutor were having a conversation during the first part of their lesson. The tutor asked, “What’s the most fun thing you do in a week?” Arnulfo smiled and answered, “Class.”
