“And one of the things about this volunteer work is realizing that there are so many exceptional women all across the world, from every culture who have so much in common. It really is so rewarding to do this work and know you are making a difference.”

–Cynthia W., LVFV tutor

Community Organizations

There is a famous quote by cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead; “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” If you are a part of a service group, a church or community organization, you have the combined energy you need to make a difference in the lives of our adult literacy students.

Maybe you are thinking about organizing a run, a bake sale, or a kick-a-thon for literacy. Perhaps you want to designate proceeds from one of your charitable events to us. Maybe you want get involved in the Trivia Bee for Literacy or our Noble Fool Theater Benefit. Regardless of how you choose to support literacy, know that it is valued and appreciated. Tell us how you want to be involved.
